What is VISA-on-Arrival?

What is VISA-on-Arrival?

A document which is issued on the spot to a tourist who once arrives at the destination for travel purpose only.

Visa-on-Arrival procedure?

How it goes:

1. Once you arrive at the destination.

2. You head towards Visa counter (or in some countries the visa-on-arrival process is carried out at Immigration counter).

3. You queue up there (if any) and need to fill up a VISA application form.

**Form has details like reason of travel, address of residence, for how many days you will be staying and similar such questions.

4. You will also be asked for passport size photo, so make sure you carry one or two with you.

**Some countries may collect biometric/fingerprints while processing your VISA-on-arrival application.

5. You will also need to have below documents with you:

  • Valid Indian Passport.
  • Return Flight Ticket.

  • Proof of Accommodation.

6. After you submit your application, it takes around 10-15min for the processing (again depends) of your application.

7. Also Visa officer or immigration officer will ask you to pay a nominal "Visa Fee" (depends upon the country you are visiting), once you pay the amount, they will put a entry stamp in your passport on the spot with arrival date and country name.

** Make sure you carry US ($) dollars or Euros (€) with you as these are mostly accepted currencies around the globe.
Do carry local currency to pay visa fee to avoid any delay.

You are now through the immigration check with your Visa.

Well this is how VISA-on-Arrival procedure takes place.

Go ahead!

Have fun exploring the country you are visiting!

** VISA-on-Arrival can be granted for 30-60 days depends upon the country you are visiting.
